Alum returns to present award, deliver lecture


Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology graduate Lester Gibbs will return to KU for the Gibbs Graduate Student Award Program.

Gibbs, who earned an M.S. degree in 1987 and a Ph.D. in 1989 from the KU Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology has since worked in regulatory affairs for Penederm, Inc., Forest Laboratories, Wyeth, Morphotek, Inc., Actelion Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs Consulting, and Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Currently he works for Complexa, Inc.

The Gibbs Graduate Student Award will be presented to Yssa Rodriguez, a student in Rick Dobrowsky’s Lab. The seminar and the award presentation have been postponed due to the University’s Covid-19 restrictions on public gatherings. We will post more information as it becomes available.
